Ella Logan is expected in Foggia on Christmas Eve….(Ella Logan (6 marzo 1913 – 1 maggio 1969) è attesa a Foggia la notte di Natale) tratto dal diario di guerra del 487th Bomber Squadron del 340th Bomber Group del dicembre 1943. Cantante gallese, emigrata negli stati uniti ha interpretato vari ruoli nei film di Holliwood.

A 17 anni nel 1930, ha fatto il suo debutto nel West End di Londra. Ha girato l’Europa nei primi anni ’30. Logan infine emigrò negli Stati Uniti e cominciò a cantare in vari club  per registrare jazz sull’etichetta British Columbia (parte di EMI). Ha preso parte a parecchie pellicole di Hollywood, tra cui Hostess di volo (1936), 52nd Street (1937) e The Goldwyn Follies (1938). È apparsa in diversi spettacoli di Broadway nel 1930 e 1940 ma ha viaggiato in Europa e poi in Africa durante la seconda guerra mondiale per intrattenere le truppe. Logan torna a Broadway come Sharon McLonergan, cantando la canzone più famosa dello show. Ha registrato le canzoni dello show per la seconda volta nel 1954 per Rainbow pubblicato dalla Capitol Records nel 1955, il secondo dei suoi due album da solista.
Nel 1950, si è esibita nei night club internazionali, come il Copacabana e il Waldorf-Astoria di New York, così come a Londra e Parigi. Nel maggio 1956, è apparsa in Tv a Londra con Louis Armstrong. Ha continuato a lavorare occasionalmente in televisione, e in produzioni teatrali, nel 1960. Si è spenta a causa del cancro nel 1969.

At age 17 in 1930, he made his debut in London’s West End. He toured Europe in the early ’30s. Logan finally emigrated to the U.S. and began singing in clubs to record jazz label British Columbia (part of EMI). He took part in several Hollywood films, including hostesses (1936), 52nd Street (1937) and The Goldwyn Follies (1938). She appeared in several Broadway shows in 1930 and 1940 but has traveled in Europe and then in Africa during World War II to entertain the troops. Logan returns to Broadway as Sharon McLonergan, singing the most popular song of the show. He recorded songs of the show for the second time in 1954 for Rainbow released by Capitol Records in 1955, the second of his two solo albums.
In 1950, she performed in nightclubs and international, such as Copacabana and the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, as well as in London and Paris. In May 1956, she appeared on TV in London with Louis Armstrong. He continued to work occasionally on television, and theater productions in 1960. She died from cancer in 1969.
